In the 16x zoom Panasonic FZ1000, Panasonic presents a spectacular challenger, and despite the same sensor size and an even more generous feature set, it is hardly any bigger. Panasonic FZ1000 is an even better purchase for the typical photographer looking for a camera.

It’s more affordable, but it has a considerably longer 16x zoom range, a noticeably faster 12 frames per second and 4 K video support. It also has a more versatile LCD tilt / swivel monitor, an electronic viewfinder with a much higher resolution and a wider range of shutter speed.

My first impression of the Panasonic FZ1000 is that it is large, easily as large as a medium- sized SLR. Interestingly, although it looks much larger than the RX10, the main difference is its length within a third inch or so in width and height.
